Belly Bands

Yes, we are the Original Belly Band still, Made-in-Australia
It gives us immense joy and pride that our hard work and campaigning has instigated a tremendous shift, leading women to see the importance of supporting their bodies during and after pregnancy in a similar way previous generations have done.
The very first Belly Band was created by Carol Brunswick with the name Belly Band a suggestion of her 8 year old son (Kids know how to keep it simple) Since then, the term "belly band" has become a globally recognized concept, prompting people to be aware of the various benefits one can get through its use
Rather than outsourcing production abroad, we focus on manufacturing top quality pieces locally; and should our generic range of bands not meet your specific needs, we can also create a custom garment just for you.
To make sure you get the Original Belly Band, look for the Australian Made logo!

Created by a mother for mothers, our belly bands are safe to use for women during pregnancy, postpartum and c-section recovery. Designed to adjust to your changing body during each trimester, means you won't need to invest in multiple maternity support garments - the 3in1 belly band will do it all!
-
At Belly Bands, we provide an array of pre & post-surgery support products for women, men as well as children. Our line includes hysterectomy and endometriosis belts, hernia bands, ostomy belts, and chest braces. All of these products can be found on the Belly Bands website.
-
Our belly bands are designed to provide a customised fit for any body shape. The fabric used offers plenty of stretch, and we make sure to split each band by hand in order to ensure maximum flexibility in sizing and personalised tailoring... making it easier for customers to find the right size.
If you are unsure of what size to get or need something larger, you can select the custom-made service which allows everyone to find the ideal fit!

During Pregnancy
The Belly Band can be beneficial in providing support from the start of your pregnancy until you reach full term, providing comfort and relief as you go about daily activities and even during sleep. However, it's always advisable to seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner to determine what is best for you personally.
Postpartum & Surgery
Once the medical professional has given you permission to do so, it is beneficial to wear Belly bands as soon possible after giving birth and following surgery. These bands should be worn for a period of 6-12 weeks.
-
Product limitations
To ensure that the utmost safety and effectiveness in the design are met, the fabrics used for our apparel is both supportive and stretchable with a loose weave. This allows velcro fasteners to be attached firmly anywhere on the garment for a customised fitting to your body. Although this ensures functionality, it may not offer the most extravagant appearance; after just one use it may look pulled or fluffy. Though this might be disheartening at first, reassured that this is not a manufacturing issue and should not influence its performance unless like all elastic it is over stretched.
